Despite Paris Saint-Germain being eliminated from the UEFA Champions League nearly two weeks ago and players being booed at the Parc des Princes during their match versus FC Girondins de Bordeaux.
During his news conference, FC Barcelona manager Xavi stated that the doors for Lionel Messi will always be open at the Spanish club as long as he’s the manager. The 34-year-old has endured a tough first season in the French capital after coming over from Barcelona this past summer.
“I think that Lionel Messi is the best in history and in the history of the club. The doors of Barça will be open to him as long as I am the coach, he can come here every day,” Xavi said.
“We owe him a great tribute. He has a contract with PSG and I can’t say more about it. It’s the same if he wants to come every day to watch practice or talk to the coach. That’s how it should be… What he brought us is priceless.”
