Paris Saint-Germain hoped that the match against OGC Nice would serve as a trendsetter for good vibes as they head to the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium for their second leg match against Real Madrid in the UEFA Champions League Round of 16.
However, it wasn’t the case as the capital club fell 1-0 after Nice scored late in the second half to come away with the victory. During his news conference, manager Mauricio Pochettino was asked if he’s worried heading into their match against Real Madrid after the loss.
“I believe that each match must be considered and analyzed vis-à-vis its own circumstances. The next meeting is in the Champions League; it will be different and against a team other than Nice. I believe the circumstances imply that it will be completely different,” Pochettino said.
“We have to adapt to what our opponent will ask of us. It will be incomparable. I have no doubt that we will approach this match in the best possible way and will be ready to fight. It will be a decisive match and which can allow us to move on to the next round.”
