Paris Saint-Germain is in the Spanish capital as they face Real Madrid in the second leg of their UEFA Champions League Round of 16 matchup at the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium.
Ahead of the fixture, midfielder Luka Modrić spoke with the media at his news conference, where the 36-year-old was asked about Kylian Mbappé, where he stated that every player wants to play with great players.
“We all want to play with great players, of course, I would like to play with Mbappé in my team. We will see what happens. It is difficult for us to talk about this because other teams get angry,” Modrić said.
However, he did emphasize that discussing a possible arrival of the 23-year-old isn’t something they’re focused on as they’re down 1-0 to PSG heading into the second leg.
“I don’t want to talk about this topic now because there are more important things. I’m just focused on the game. And I don’t know what the public is going to do with Kylian. What the public is going to do is support us to the death, no those of the rival,” Modrić added.
