Report: Pochettino Not Expected To Be Sacked Over the International Break

After coming away from the Ligue 1 away fixture against AS Monaco with a 3-0 defeat, Paris Saint-Germain club officials are not planning on parting ways with manager Mauricio Pochettino in the coming week.

According to a report from RMC Sport, Pochettino is not expected to be sacked over the now-ongoing international break.

PSG club officials want to take their “time” to analyze the current situation at the club, which includes Pochettino’s future as manager.

Overall, an announcement on the future of Pochettino would only be made when “negotiations are well advanced with a possible replacement.”

PSG club officials also do not want to wait too long to come to a resolution on this matter.

Pochettino’s future at PSG has been much in question ever since the Ligue 1 powerhouse was eliminated in the UEFA Champions League round of 16 by Real Madrid. But as it stands, the Argentine manager will be on the sidelines for PSG’s league encounter with Lorient after the international break.
