Paris Saint-Germain playmaker Angel Di Maria will have the chance to leave the club at the end of the season as a free transfer. The Argentine talent is now garnering interest from a familiar side.

According to the Portuguese-based outlet Record, Benfica is open to a reunion with Di Maria over the upcoming summer transfer window. The Portuguese powerhouse is “attentive to the situation” of the Argentine.

Di Maria featured for Benfica for three seasons before he made the move to La Liga side Real Madrid. He played in 124 matches in all competitions and won three trophies during his run with the side.

Di Maria could go on to stay put at the Ligue 1 powerhouse, as there is a mutual option between both sides for next season.

Overall, Di Maria has appeared in 25 fixtures in all competitions with PSG so far this season, which include three goals scored in Ligue 1 play.
