Paris Saint-Germain has yet to announce their plans for the summer and how the squad will prepare for the 2022-23 season. However, Sport (via Foot01) reports that the capital club received an invitation from FC Barcelona for a pre-season friendly.
The Spanish press adds that Barcelona is simply studying an invitation to play one or two pre-season matches in Australia next summer. The details of this event are not yet known.
Furthermore, Barcelona would send out the other invitation to Manchester United, so they could be facing against Cristiano Ronaldo, should the Portugal international remain with The Red Devils past this season.
Despite not being an official match, it would be interesting to see if Messi wants to play against his former club in a friendly. PSG has a tense relationship with Barcelona, so this could be a peace offering, but if the French giants take Ousmane Dembélé, perhaps that invitation might be off the table.
