Paris Saint-Germain has neglected their midfield over the past few years. Instead, the capital club has leaned heavily on Marco Verratti. Although the Italian is a world-class player at his position, he can be unreliable with him being injured or suspended for critical matches.
If the French giants are going to hit the reset button on their project, one area that needs to be addressed is the midfield. Furthermore, PSG can’t bring any midfielder; they need world-class players.
As a result, they’re circling back on their interest in Lazio midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic. Il Messaggero (via Paris Fans) reports that PSG recently inquired about the Lazio man. Furthermore, the report states that club representatives have gone to Rome to meet with his agent in recent months.
Over the last couple of years, the capital club has been linked to the 27-year-old, and this summer, it seems as though the Italian club is ready to part ways with the Serbia international.
When it comes to the price, Lazio has set an €80-million price tag on Milinkovic-Savic, with other clubs like Juventus, Manchester United, and Inter Milan.
