Portuguese international Nuno Mendes is now the latest Paris Saint-Germain player to provide for public comments following his side’s UEFA Champions League round of 16 elimination to Real Madrid.
Mendes took to Instagram to note that he aims to use this elimination as a fuel moving forward.
“Words are not strong enough to express how disappointed we are to be out of the Champions so soon,” Mendes wrote. “We will have to use this failure to come back stronger. Thanks again to the fans for their incredible support.”
Mendes featured in the Champions League round of 16 second leg defeat to Real Madrid, where he earned a start in the match and went on to play the entirety of the contest.
