Lionel Messi and Neymar have been regulars for Paris Saint-Germain in Ligue 1 play as of late, and their next test will be in the away fixture against OGC Nice.
Overall, OGC Nice manager Christophe Galtier sees that the two star forwards enter the match in promising form and are simply a difficult duo to contain, which he touched on in his pre-match press conference ahead of the match (via RMC Sport).
“We see the return to form of Messi,” Galtier said. “Neymar has recovered well from his injury. It is a very difficult association to master.”
Messi has taken the role of being PSG’s go-to playmaker as of late, which includes his two-assist showing in the side’s 3-1 home victory over AS Saint-Etienne in league play. On the other hand, Neymar has had his share of keen goal-scoring chances, although he has had his struggles in putting away such shot attempts.
It sure would be key if Messi and Neymar were to lead PSG to a win over OGC Nice considering that the second leg of the UEFA Champions League round of 16 tie against Real Madrid will come next week.
