Portuguese international Nuno Mendes has had quite a past year in his footballing career, which has included his run at Sporting CP to now playing alongside Lionel Messi, Neymar and Kylian Mbappe at Paris Saint-Germain.
Mendes recently took some time to speak to PSG TV, where he provided a behind-the-scenes perspective on what it has been like to tag along with the trio so far this season.
“It was strange at first but I really enjoyed it and I love sharing the dressing room with them,” Mendes said. “They’re great people and great players. Obviously, a lot of players who have shared a dressing room with Messi, Neymar and with Mbappe, but getting all three of them is tough, and I’ve managed to do that. I really enjoy sharing the dressing room with them and all my other teammates.”
Mendes featured with PSG’s superstar trio in the side’s UEFA Champions League round of 16 tie against Real Madrid. While PSG crashed out in the opening round of the Champions League knockout stage, Mendes sure at the least came away from the tie with keen experience in playing in high magnitude contests.
Overall, Mendes has played in 19 Ligue 1 fixtures so far in the ongoing campaign, where he has recorded one assist and notched a 1.8 tackles per match average.
