For years, Argentine forward Lionel Messi has much been lauded as the best player in world football. But for PSG defender Marquinhos, he sees that there is another player in world football who is deserving of being called the top talent in the sport today.
Marquinhos took some time to speak on RMC Sport‘s “Rothen s’enflamme” program, where he analyzed on just what makes French forward Kylian Mbappe a special talent.
“We see what he does on the pitch, we know he is important, he scores goals, he is decisive,” Marquinhos said. “We want players like that with us. We see him in training, he has a power in his feet that is rare to find elsewhere.”
The Brazilian defender was then asked on whether Mbappe is indeed the best player in world football at the moment. Without much hesitation, he agreed.
“Currently, I think, yes,” Marquinhos said.
Mbappe sure has made a strong case to earn the title of being the top talent in the sport today, which has been showcased for PSG in all competitions so far this season.
