The transfer of AS Monaco midfielder Aurélien Tchouaméni to a major European club is becoming very serious. It seems inevitable that the 22-year-old will change clubs this summer; all parties involved seem to agree on this point despite his contract running until 2024.
In the latest edition of Le Parisien (via Culture PSG), Real Madrid strongly covets the France international, but Paris Saint-Germain remains in the running. Meanwhile, the Ligue 1 giants are vaguely connected to the midfielder.
Should PSG get in the race for Tchouaméni, Les Parisiens should expect to pay at least €50-million, with Monaco hoping for €60-million. The capital club is linked to the midfielder but has Manchester United’s Paul Pogba ahead on the priority list.
Following their UEFA Champions League elimination and the lack of feeling like a French club isn’t going to sit well with supporters if another talented France international midfielder joins Real Madrid.
Tchouaméni has made 87 appearances for Monaco, scoring six goals and six assists since joining the club in 2020.
