Paris Saint-Germain is less than two weeks away from their UEFA Champions League Round of 16 matchup against Real Madrid. This weekend, the capital club will face Lillie OSC as they prepare for the Spanish side, trying to move on from crashing in the Coupe de France.
During his press conference with the media, manager Mauricio Pochettino spoke about his squad preparing for their upcoming first-leg match against Los Blancos on February 15th. The Argentine tactician states that physically they’re ready for the impending task.
“Yes, we have the opportunity to work, unlike other years, including last year. We try to be as efficient as possible and to allow the team to work as well as possible, especially on the physical aspect, of course. We are happy and think it will go well,” Pochettino said.
“I think we will approach this game against Real Madrid, which everyone is waiting for, in good form. I’m sure we’ll be in our best condition, but above all, our focus is on tomorrow’s game against Lille. In any case, it’s a welcome collective physical work that we were able to carry out.”
