Tuesday night wasn’t the best for Real Madrid as they surrendered a late goal in the second half to allow Paris Saint-Germain to head into the second leg with a 1-0 advantage.

If the result doesn’t hurt enough for the Spanish club, they’ll be without Casemiro and Ferland Mendy as the two will be suspended due to yellow card accumulation.

During an interview with Canal Plus, Real Madrid defender Ferland Mendy spoke about their performance in the first leg loss.

“Honestly, we are very disappointed with this match. They had a lot of chances, but we managed to hold on, but we took a goal in stoppage time,” Mendy said.

“When we had the ball, they pressed well. Afterward, I find that in the second half, we were able to bring out the balls better. In the end, it created spaces all over the place. On the way back, we will have to raise the level of play, play together.”
