Paris Saint-Germain is facing Real Madrid in the UEFA Champions League Round of 16, so the talk regarding the future of Kylian Mbappé is only ramping up over the next few weeks.
During an appearance on El Larguero, manager Mauricio Pochettino was asked whether this tie will play a part in influencing the 23-year-old when it comes to making his decision.
Nonetheless, the Argentine tactician doesn’t believe that an important decision won’t be based on the outcome of this tie.
“I don’t think such an important decision is made on a match or a qualifying round. He is an intelligent and mature boy, endowed with a formidable analytical capacity and always knowing what he wants for his career and his future,” Pochettino said.
“With people around him advising him in the best way… I don’t think that’s the case. I see him calm focused in order to do the best possible for PSG, as he said. You have to respect him, and he will make a decision after both games are over.”
