Paris Saint-Germain manager Mauricio Pochettino has dealt with criticism this season. From losses to Manchester City in the UEFA Champions League to crashing out in the French Cup last week.
Rumors of a possible departure to Manchester United aren’t going away; furthermore, the capital club is linked to former Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane. Pochettino appeared on El Larguero, where the Argentine tactician was asked about these rumors.
The 49-year-old sidestepped the question with his response to the potential coaching carousel that can ensue this summer.
“I don’t know; it’s not for me to decide. Zidane is a great coach. He has already shown it at Real Madrid. He can train any coach in the world. Moreover, he is French. This is one more question for the sporting director or the president,” Pochettino said.
“Listen, when Zinedine Zidane was at Real Madrid… How many rumors didn’t come out about me in England? We, when we take charge of a club with the visibility of PSG, we know that it comes with the position. It has to be accepted; otherwise, I couldn’t be sitting in front of you right now as PSG coach.”
