Kylian Mbappé put on his scoring boots against AS Saint-Étienne. After conceding the first goal, the 23-year-old received two Lionel Messi passes to score his brace and help Paris Saint-Germain pick up a 3-1 victory.

The brace that Mbappé registered saw the France international tie former PSG striker with 156 goals, second on the club’s all-time leading goal scorers. Following the win, the forward spoke with PSG TV, and one of the questions he answered was tying the Sweden international.

“It’s very special; I think having the opportunity to be able to match a player like Ibrahimovic is something fantastic. We all know what he did here, so that means we have high standards. And managing to score at the Parc des Princes and equaling it here has a special flavor,” Mbappé said.

“Here, at home, in front of the supporters, who have always supported us, so we are very happy to have this communion. We have important moments ahead of us, and we all want to go together in the same direction.”
