After crashing out in the Coupe de France, Paris Saint-Germain appears ready to make drastic changes. A recent report suggests that Mauricio Pochettino doesn’t want to remain at the capital club, and both parties seem to be heading towards divorce after the season.

Foot Mercato reports Nasser Al-Khelaifi and Sheikh Tamim ben Hamad Al Thani believe that only former Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane can restore order at the French club.

The report also states that the capital club is prepared to offer Zidane a colossal salary to convince the French tactician to take over the PSG bench.

Regarding the possible wages, it’s believed to be well above Mauricio Pochettino’s current salary (€8-million net per year) and even Zidane’s last contract with Real Madrid during his second stint (€12-million net per year).

Furthermore, PSG isn’t only willing to give the French tactician a lucrative contract, but they’re prepared to hand him all the power at the sporting level too.

Foot Mercato speculates that if Zidane takes over, he will work with former Arsenal manager Arsène Wenger to support him on this project and replace current sporting director, Leonardo.

  1. I was even expecting PSG to sack Poch a day after the lost.
But I don’t know what they are still waiting for. Or does the Parisians think that Poch can eliminate the Spanish capital club with this his sluggish tactics?
