Paris Saint-Germain has needed to improve their midfield for years. The capital club has depended on Marco Verratti for so long, and it has come back to bite them when the midfielder is either injured or suspended.

As a result, it seems as though the Ligue 1 side is putting the position as a priority. L’Équipe (via Canal Supporters) explains that PSG’s two priorities in midfield next summer are Paul Pogba and Lucas Paqueta.

The French media outlet reports that the Olympique Lyonnais midfielder is at the top of sporting director Leonardo’s transfer wishlist and would like to join the French giants, considering the Brazilian connection. Nonetheless, no contact has been made yet for the player under contract until 2025.

Meanwhile, Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba has been linked to his hometown club since last summer. With the 28-year-old’s contract expiring in June, PSG appears to be going all-in on Pogba.

It will be interesting to see if these targets remain if the French giants can appoint former Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane, who will want power that currently belongs to Leonardo.
