Photo: Kylian Mbappé Pays Homage to Thierry Henry With Goal Celebration

Paris Saint-Germain was about to head into their first-leg against Real Madrid on a sour night. The capital club was in a 0-0 match against Stade Rennais, with a few minutes left in stoppage time.

Following a clearance from Nuno Mendes, Mauro Icardi would secure the loose ball and would pass it to Messi, who would connect with Kylian Mbappé. The 23-year-old had enough space following Icardi’s run into the box to calculate his shot which would get by Doğan Alemdar.

After his goal, Mbappé celebrated by leaning on the corner kick flag post, drawing similarities to Thierry Henry. The PSG star took to social media to confirm his celebration was indeed inspired by the former French star.
