Lionel Messi has so far had quite a roller-coaster run with Paris Saint-Germain, but for midfielder Leandro Paredes, he sees that the best is still yet to come for the Argentine forward.

In speaking to PSG TV, Paredes discussed on why Messi will soon turn around his form with the French powerhouse.

“It’s not easy, even for Leo, who is the best in the world, to arrive at a club, to perform and be 100 percent straight away,” Paredes said. “It’s hard to adapt to a new country, a new club, new teammates, after such a long time at another club. But hey, he’s Leo and he will surely turn it around and be at his best.”

As of late, Messi has put out for promising performances with PSG in all competitions. For one, he is just coming off of the two-goal contribution showing in PSG’s Ligue 1 away fixture against Lille OSC. Overall, Messi has notched a notable six goal contributions in his last six appearances in all competitions with PSG.

The Argentine forward will now have a pair of key tests upcoming in PSG’s league fixture against Rennes and the opening leg of the UEFA Champions League round of 16 tie against longtime rival Real Madrid.
