Longtime Argentine striker Gonzalo Higuain has so far featured in two seasons with MLS side Inter Miami, and in the unpredictable world of football, there is a chance that Paris Saint-Germain forward Lionel Messi could one day join him there.
Messi has been linked with a move to the MLS club for the latter stages of his career. Still, the Argentine forward currently has a mere one more full season remaining on his contract deal with PSG.
“This is in Lionel’s head,” Higuain said. “There is a lot of Latino descent in this city and Lionel is Lionel. Wherever he walks he leaves his mark and his shadow. Here they can drive him a little crazy… If he decides to come here to retire, he’s coming to a magnificent place, a lesser game, but I can’t say more.”
As mentioned, Messi is still under contract with PSG for another season, as he currently has an aim at helping the club claim a double in the ongoing campaign.
Higuain tagged along with Messi with the Argentina national team, where the two often had standout goal-scoring showings together.
