Over the weekend, Paris Saint-Germain came away with one of the season’s most impressive wins when they defeated the reigning Ligue 1 champions Lille OSC 5-1.
Kylian Mbappé was one of the goal scorers, firing a shot from outside the box, beating the Lille goalkeeper. After the match, the 23-year-old spoke about his future, stating there’s no decision made yet on his part.
Nonetheless, on the airwaves of RMC Sport (via Canal Supporters), pundit Mathieu Bodmer stated that Mbappé knows what he’s doing by putting out these fires when it comes to speculation regarding what he’ll do when his contract expires in June.
Furthermore, Bodmer says that the France international knows which club he’ll be signing with next season despite downplaying any speculation.
“I think he knows what he’s going to do, which club he’s going to. Last night he responded well. He extinguished all possible fires. Casually, despite this, his contractual situation does not disturb him,” Bodmer said.
“He’s good; he scores goals, that’s the main thing. He is an extraordinary player. He is also a player who manages his communication from a very young age, also to have a smooth image. But I think it’s all well done on his part.”
Real Madrid remains lurking to land the forward, but Mbappé won’t be making any announcements until after the Round of 16 clash in the UEFA Champions League versus Los Blancos.
