Paris Saint-Germain will have their first Ligue 1 match of 2022 when they travel to the Groupama Stadium for their matchup against Olympique Lyonnais.
Despite being in 13th place in the table, Lyon did present a challenge early in the season, and they’ll hope to take all three points against the capital club.
Ahead of the matchup, Jérôme Boateng spoke at his news conference, discussing what it will take to defeat Les Parisiens and contain Kylian Mbappé Sunday night as they look to turn their season around.
“PSG are a very good team. All positions are doubled with world-class players. Mbappé is a world-class player at his age,”
“We have to defend as a team. Paris is a good team, with good players but a match is won as a team, and in the end, it’s eleven players against eleven others. Even if Mbappé is an excellent player.”
