The UEFA Champions League Round of 16 matchup between Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid begins in less than three weeks. Ahead of the matchup, forward Rodrygo spoke with TNT Sports Brazil, where the 21-year-old discussed the upcoming tie.
Seeing two clubs with Real Madrid and PSG star power, some, like Rodrygo, would have hoped for this matchup to occur in the later rounds of the competition.
“This clash could have happened a little later…. They have some of the best players in the world, we know it will be difficult, but it’s the collective work that will give us the opportunity to pass,” Rodrygo said.
“Playing against Neymar will be special. It’s going to be a special day to play against him. But I hope Real Madrid will win.”
The first leg will happen at the Parc des Princes on February 15th, and the return leg occurs on March 9th from the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium.
