The January transfer window closes in a couple of days and Paris Saint-Germain remains in talks with Tottenham Hotspur over Tanguy Ndombele. The 25-year-old is looking for a fresh start away from the Premier League club and a return to his hometown club.
CBS Sports and French football expert Jonathan Johnson provided his insight into the possible arrival of the Tottenham midfielder during an appearance on Sky Sports.
Johnson states that his close links to Mauricio Pochettino and Kylian Mbappé, and being a better fit than other midfield targets in the past, it’s a no-brainer as to why PSG want the France international.
“Yeah, this is one that definitely looks like it could be done between now and the end of the transfer window. He’s a player that PSG are interested in as they would be with most senior French internationals, and this one I think would be a good fit to better fit the most given PSG’s needs in the midfield,” Johnson said.
“He has close links with a number of players in the PSG squad, including Kylian Mbappé, and obviously, Pochettino knows him a little bit from their time when they crossed over at Tottenham Hotspur for a few months. So I think he’s definitely a player that PSG could use between now and the end of the season.”
