Paris Saint-Germain will return to Ligue 1 action in the upcoming home fixture against Brest. This will be PSG’s first home match of the calendar year.

Overall, PSG manager Mauricio Pochettino will be without a few notable players for this league encounter. As noted by the club’s official website, forwards Lionel Messi (COVID-19 recovery) and Neymar (ankle injury) each will not feature in this match.

More so, Denis Franchi (COVID-19), Alexandre Letellier (calf injury), Achraf Hakimi (AFCON), Abdou Diallo (AFCON) and Idrissa Gueye (AFCON) all will not be in Pochettino’s squad list for the match.

At the least for the Ligue 1 side, it is set to have a multitude of key midfielders available for this match, including Marco Verratti and Ander Herrera. Both talents missed time over the first half of the season due to injuries, and now they each could be in line to have a feature role in this matchup against Brest.

PSG is currently set for three straight home matches in all competitions, which include its Coupe de France round of 16 encounter with OGC Nice.
