The UEFA Champions League Round of 16 matchup between Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid is about two weeks away, and the Spanish club will be without a critical member of their backline.

Marca reports that Ferland Mendy did not work with the squad in the last four training sessions after the previous game against Elche.

The left-back has had discomfort in the adductor since the previous match, and the concern is serious because he has been forced to stop training and is a doubt for the duel against PSG on February 15.

Nonetheless, Real Madrid might not be the only defender that could miss the first leg. PSG’s Sergio Ramos is dealing with an injury that he sustained during a training session.

If neither of these two players sees any playing time ahead of the matchup, then it’s likely that Mendy and Ramos will miss out on the first leg at the Parc des Princes.
