Paris Saint-Germain forward Kylian Mbappe notched a historic feat in his career on Monday. The French forward reached 150 career goals scored with PSG following the notable hat-trick performance in Coupe de France play against Vannes.
In speaking following the match (via PSG TV), Mbappe touched on just what it means to reach this milestone in just his fifth season with PSG.
“It’s an honor,” Mbappe said. “Scoring so many goals for such a big club is always nice. There are only three of us, and the gap between us is closing more and more. I’m lucky enough to play alongside two great players.”
The French forward has simply had his way in all competitions over the course of his career with PSG so far, which includes 100 career goals in Ligue 1 play.
Over this season, Mbappe sure has been among the more potent goal-scorers in all of Europe. He has scored key goals in all competitions, which include the recent double against AS Monaco in league play.
Mbappe and his PSG side will now look ahead to an away league encounter with Olympique Lyonnais.
