‘We Will See’ – PSG Sporting Director Leonardo Provides Comment on the Future of Kylian Mbappé

The contract extension saga regarding Kylian Mbappé remains an ongoing topic, as the 22-year-old recently stated that he won’t discuss his future until after the season. However, with his deal expiring in June, the France international could sign a pre-contract during the January window.

However, that won’t be happening. Furthermore, during a conference at the University of La Sorbonne, PSG sporting director Leonardo spoke where he answered a few questions, with Canal Supporters relaying his comments.

Leonardo didn’t go into further detail regarding the future of Mbappé, but he remains hopeful of keeping their star forward past this season.

“Kylian is wonderful, you know. He is different, unique. You know what we want … That’s clear. We will see,” Leonardo said.

With PSG drawing Real Madrid in the UEFA Champions League Round of 16, the speculation over Mbappé’s future is magnified even more considering it’s the Spanish club hoping to land the France international in the summer of 2022.

Real Madrid did their best to work out a deal for Mbappé, but PSG turned down the proposals to send their forward to the La Liga side.
