The winter break for Christmas and New Year is fast approaching, and if Paris Saint-Germain were to hire Zinedine Zidane to replace Mauricio Pochettino, this would be the time to execute it.
PSG last year fired Thomas Tuchel during the break, so the capital club is no stranger to using this break to make changes. However, during a segment on After Foot RMC, Lionel Charbonnier, who spent an evening with the former Madrid coach a few days ago, gave his thoughts on Zidane taking over Les Parisiens.
“My feeling is that I think that Zizou does not really want to go to PSG, but that – it only commits me – if he signs for PSG, it is because we will have offered him the biggest contract in football history,” Charbonnier said.
“I feel it like that, with full powers. But we haven’t talked about it at all; it’s only my opinion. The only thing I said to him was, ‘Zizou if it had been Juve?’ He replied: ‘There, it is not the same. But that’s normal. He does not have the same experience at PSG as at Juve.”
🗣️💬 "Je pense que Zizou n'a pas trop envie d'aller au PSG mais que s'il signe c'est qu'on lui aura offert le plus gros contrat de l'histoire du football."
