With the winter transfer window mere weeks away from opening, several Paris Saint-Germain players have been in the rumor mill over a possible departure from the club. Among them has been veteran striker Mauro Icardi, who has been linked with clubs such as Atletico Madrid.
For PSG manager Mauricio Pochettino, he aspires to see Icardi stay on with the club, which he touched on following his team’s Ligue 1 home win over AS Monaco.
“Now is not the time to talk about arrivals or departures,” Pochettino said. “We are focused on the best way to end the year.
“We are pleased with him and hope that he can continue with us.”
Icardi still has a notable two more seasons remaining on his current contract deal with PSG.
