Kylian Mbappé was the man of the match for Paris Saint-Germain in their 2-0 victory over AS Monaco. The 22-year-old scored a brace against his former club.
The first goal came following a foul inside the box on Ángel Di María; the France international stepped up to take the penalty kick opportunity and converted.
Mbappé then scored his second goal after an assist by Lionel Messi to take a 2-0 lead after 45 minutes. After the match, Mbappé spoke to Prime Video Sport France, discussing the win against Monaco.
“Paris made the difference in the first half. We played three matches this week. In the first half, there was a lot of intensity, we killed the match,” Mbappé said.
“It is true that we could do more. After that, it was up to them to come and get us. In the second half, the pace was down a lot but we won and we did the most important.”
