Video: ‘It’s Easy to Play’ – Kylian Mbappé Discusses Playing Alongside Lionel Messi

With Neymar Jr. out, Paris Saint-Germain had to face Club Brugge in their final UEFA Champions League group stage match leaning on Kylian Mbappé and Lionel Messi.

The two players provided a brace each in the 4-1 victory over Club Brugge, and it appears as though they are developing chemistry and understanding each other better out on the pitch.

Mbappé spoke with BT Sport to discuss what it’s like to play alongside Messi. The two hope to further their chemistry with Neymar out of the starting eleven with an ankle injury.

“It’s easy to play with Lionel Messi; he’s the best player in the world,” Mbappé said. “He won the Ballon d’Or a few days ago. He scored two goals [against Brugge]; he’s happy, and I hope he will help us in the future.”

The France international was asked whether PSG is a squad that most first-place teams want to avoid, and Mbappé decided to go down the humble route and say they’ll be ready for whoever they draw.

“We don’t know; we are waiting for the draw, and we are going to see who we’re going to play, and we will be ready to fight and to win this game,” Mbappé said.
