Video: ‘I Hope There Will Be Many More’ – Leandro Paredes Discusses Reaching 100 Games Played With PSG

Paris Saint-Germain closed out the UEFA Champions League group stage with a 4-1 win over Club Brugge. Lionel Messi and Kylian Mbappé provided all four goals as the two each scored a brace. However, the match was a significant one for Leandro Paredes.

The 27-year-old played 19 minutes coming in as a substitute; also, the midfielder reached a milestone in a PSG kit. After the match, Paredes made 100 appearances for the capital club and spoke about the victory over Club Brugge and his achievement.

“I’m happy because I play for this jersey, for this club, and in a team of friends. I’m proud to have played 100 matches, and I hope there will be many more,” Paredes said to PSG TV

“Of course, it was important for us to win today, to win well, to win by playing the way we wanted, at the pace that we wanted. And we are happy to have succeeded in doing so.”

Paredes also commented on the goal Lionel Messi scored from outside the box.

“Leo Messi’s goal? It’s important for him to score, to be happy, to be confident. We will do everything we can to ensure that he can continue to score,” Paredes said.
