Paris Saint-Germain manager Mauricio Pochettino is under extreme criticism following three straight disappointing results over the past two weeks. As a result, many supporters and media members call for the capital club to sack the Argentine tactician.
Ahead of PSG’s UEFA Champions League matchup against Club Brugge, Pochettino spoke with the media at his press conference. The 49-year-old stated that he’s calm despite the noise outside the club and has the backing of his players.
“I feel good and very peaceful. I can feel the support of my players and the club structure. We know where we are going and what we are doing. I feel at ease because we know the process. A process that takes place at the field level; there are also other internal aspects with adaptation, communication, and understanding. Create links in the locker room to have an understanding on the ground. I am at ease because I feel that we are well integrated in this process,” Pochettino said.
“We know that in a team like PSG, there is a light that shines brightly, with noise around too. But having lights like that doesn’t advance a normal process. I know we have to do better in several areas. We have to develop our ideas. We know where we are going. Despite all the storms around, we must not deviate from the direction. After the storm will come the good days to benefit all the people who love the club.”
