Report: PSG’s Projected Starting 11 for the Ligue 1 Fixture vs. AS Monaco

On the heels of its convincing UEFA Champions League home group stage win over Club Brugge, Paris Saint-Germain will return to Ligue 1 play with a crucial home fixture against AS Monaco.

Last season, Monaco manager Niko Kovac led his side to a pair of league wins over PSG. Thus, PSG sure will look to avenge these defeats with a possible victory against a Monaco side that currently sits at eighth in the current league standings.

PSG manager Mauricio Pochettino could possibly roll out this starting 11 against Monaco, as noted by TyC Sports.

Navas; Hakimi, Marquinhos, Kimpembe, Bernat; Paredes, Pereira, Verratti; Messi, Mbappe, Di María

Over this season, Pochettino has rotated between Keylor Navas and Gianluigi Donnarumma for the team’s starting goalkeeper position. For PSG’s clash with Monaco, Navas may be in line for his first start since the side’s 1-1 draw result against RC Lens in league play.

PSG defender Sergio Ramos has officially been ruled as out for this match due to muscle fatigue. Thus, Marquinhos may be called upon to captain and lead PSG’s backline against Monaco.

Barring any notable changes, Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappe and Angel Di Maria are expected to form PSG’s attacking trio for this fixture.

PSG is aiming for a second consecutive victory in all competitions.
