As the winter transfer window nears, Paris Saint-Germain is aiming to resolve the future of one of its coveted players.
As noted by the Spanish-based outlet Todofichajes, PSG club officials have an eye on coming to terms with Brazilian defender Marquinhos for a multiyear contract extension deal as early as this upcoming January.
The veteran PSG center-back has two more seasons remaining on his current contract deal with the club, and he has a renewal offer on the table.
PSG could sign Marquinhos to a possible two or three-year extension deal.
Marquinhos has been a reliable talent for PSG ever since he opted to join the club over the 2013 summer transfer window. From being named team captain following Thiago Silva’s departure to Chelsea to his continued reliability as a defender in the team’s backline, he sure has lived up to the expectations that were placed on him when he signed with the club.
For now, Marquinhos sure will look to lead PSG to triumph in all competitions later this season.
