Paris Saint-Germain has long had an issue in their midfield, relying too much on Marco Verratti and not having a midfielder of his caliber when the 29-year-old gets injured or suspended.
Nonetheless, over the summer, it seemed as though PSG wanted to add someone of his caliber as they were linked to Manchester United’s Paul Pogba. Furthermore, it appears that the French giants still have the plan to bring Pogba home.
According to Le Parisien (via Paris Fans), the French midfielder has already rejected several offers of extension from Manchester United. Pogba is tracked by several European giants like PSG, Real Madrid, and Juventus.
Furthermore, his agent Mino Raiola even opened discussions with these three clubs. However, the Spanish club prefers to focus on the Kylian Mbappé file and aim for other midfield targets.
For its part, Manchester United did not give up the idea of convincing the player, but the sporting situation of the Red Devils does not tilt in their favor.
The capital club has added midfielders, but none can soften the blow when they’re without Verratti, and Pogba could help lessen the dependency on the Italy international.
