As the winter transfer window nears, Paris Saint-Germain is now looking to find suitors for several of its players, including veteran goalkeeper Sergio Rico.
As noted by Le Parisien (via Le10Sport), the entourage of Rico has been on the lookout for a club that would be open to hauling in the Spanish goalkeeper over the upcoming winter window. However, it has not been able to find such a club, whether in Spain or Italy.
Thus, unless Rico’s entourage is able to find a club that would be willing to sign him, the veteran goalkeeper will spend the remainder of the season with PSG.
Rico served as the backup goalkeeper to Keylor Navas last season, where he went on to feature in 13 matches in all competitions. However, he has only totaled for a mere one appearance in all competitions so far in the ongoing campaign, as PSG manager Mauricio Pochettino has mainly called upon both Navas and Gianluigi Donnarumma to feature for the side.
It will be noteworthy to see whether Rico will go on to leave the club in the coming month, or if he will stay with the side for at the least the remainder of the season.
