Pochettino Discusses Takeaways from Mbappe’s Two-Goal Performance Against Feignies

Paris Saint-Germain forward Kylian Mbappe was the star of the show in the Coupe de France knockout stage fixture against Feignies. The French forward shined in the match with two goals scored and five goal-scoring chances created for teammates.

PSG manager Mauricio Pochettino comes away from the match satisfied with how Mbappe performed in the team’s first Coupe de France fixture of the season, which he opened up about in his post-match comments (via Le Parisien).

“He had a good performance, he scored two goals, he could have scored more,” Pochettino said. “What can I say about Kylian? He’s such an important player for the team.”

Last season, Mbappe shined in the Coupe de France competition as he scored seven goals, which included the notable one goal and one assist showing in the final against AS Monaco.

Overall, Mbappe has been in promising form as of late for the French powerhouse due to the seven combined goal contributions in PSG’s last three fixtures, which include the double in the UEFA Champions League home group stage encounter with Club Brugge.
