For multiple seasons, Keylor Navas and Sergio Ramos shined during their run together at Real Madrid. The two helped Real Madrid accomplish a multitude of feats, which include playing a pivotal role in the team’s three-peat of UEFA Champions League competition wins.
Ramos reunited with Navas when he opted to join Paris Saint-Germain over the recent summer transfer window. Although the two have not yet shared the pitch together for a fixture so far this season, Navas is much pleased to once again be a teammate of Ramos’, which the Costa Rican goalkeeper opened up about to PSG’s official website.
“For me, it’s a real pleasure to be here with him,” Navas said. “He’s a very classy person and an exceptional player. He’s also a great leader and we’re really lucky to have him here. With him on board, the team will grow. His way of playing and his presence will take us even higher.”
The veteran Spanish defender has only featured in a mere one fixture so far this season, which came in PSG’s pivotal 3-1 win over AS Saint-Etienne in Ligue 1 play.
A Coupe de France knockout stage fixture against Feignies awaits PSG up next, which could be a match that manager Mauricio Pochettino opts to feature both Navas and Ramos in.
