Herrera Goes In-Depth on the One Area Where PSG Needs to Improve On

Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Ander Herrera sees that his team must work to be more consistent over the course of matches.

In speaking to the Spanish-based outlet Mundo Deportivo, Herrera was asked on where he believes that PSG could improve on, which the veteran Spanish midfielder touched on the importance of controlling matches in order to show a notable semblance of consistency.

“During these first few months of the season, there have been some good moments of play, but I don’t think we’ve been consistent for a whole game,” Herrera said. “That’s our objective. To have more control. Despite playing good minutes, we struggle to have superiority from start to finish.”

PSG has much been criticized for its inability to orchestrate all-around dominant performances so far this season, including in Ligue 1 play. Even with the likes of Lionel Messi, Neymar and Kylian Mbappe at his disposal, PSG manager Mauricio Pochettino has not yet managed the side to have a keen run of potent performances.

PSG will have a key opportunity to open up the second half of the Ligue 1 season on a strong start in the pivotal away encounter against Olympique Lyonnais.
