The future of Kylian Mbappé will be at the center point of football news outlets, considering the 23-year-old’s contract expires in June. As a result, there are reports that Real Madrid will pull all stops to land the Paris Saint-Germain star.
From PSG’s perspective, the capital club still believes that it can secure a contract extension with the France international. During a segment on L’Equipe du Soir (via Canal Supporters), journalist Dave Appadoo provided his thoughts on the matter, where he states that Mbappé will extend with PSG.
“Mbappé must be at the center of the Parisian project; it is a capital argument! PSG missed this step a bit to say very clearly that it is number 1! The Parisian leaders procrastinated with Neymar; now it’s Messi,” Appadoo said.
“I think that in the end, the argument can be there: that is to say to convince Mbappé that he is really the number 1 of PSG.”
Despite having Neymar and Lionel Messi on the squad, it’s no secret that Mbappé stirs the drink of the PSG attack and should be at the focal point of the project.
It will be up to Les Parisiens to put forth a commitment to producing something that allows for Mbappé to win the UEFA Champions League on multiple occasions.
Furthermore, they’ll need to convince him that what they’re building rivals what Real Madrid can offer from a sporting perspective.
