Paris Saint-Germain forward Kylian Mbappe has been a top 10 finisher for the Ballon d’Or award four different times, but still, he has yet to win this coveted world football honor.
AS Monaco manager Niko Kovac firmly believes that Mbappe sure has what it takes to one day win the Ballon d’Or in his career, which he touched on (via RMC Sport) following his team’s Ligue 1 away loss to PSG.
“Kylian belongs to the three best players in the world right now,” Kovac said. “He will win a lot of Ballons d’Or if he continues like this. He is making the difference for PSG right now. His speed, agility, power.
“It’s hard to defend against him. If he continues like this and stays healthy.”
The French forward is just coming off of the two-goal performance for PSG against Monaco. Overall, he has now recorded 17 goal contributions in league play so far in the season, which include a notable eight assists over 17 matches played. He has already recorded more assists than he notched all of last season (seven) in 31 league fixtures.
For now, a Coupe de France knockout stage fixture against Feignies awaits the French forward and company.
