Video: ‘The Progress Is Good’ – Mauricio Pochettino Provides an Update on Sergio Ramos

There’s no question that one of the concerns so far this season is the Paris Saint-Germain defending, primarily the form of Presnel Kimpembe.

Before the FIFA break, the 26-year-old cost the capital club points in the UEFA Champions League following the penalty he committed against RB Leipzig to allow the German club to tie the match late.

Whether it’s due to lack of competition or complacency, Kimpembe’s form has taken a dip since the departure of Thiago Silva. Still, it seems the France international will have to pick up his game with Sergio Ramos inching closer for a return.

Manager Mauricio Pochettino spoke at a press conference, where he provided an update on Ramos’ pending debut with PSG.

“[Ramos is] training well. The progress is good; he continues on the right track,” Pochettino said. “We will analyze to see if he can be part of the group. For a champion like him, it’s not easy not to play, but he trains well, he shows maturity and patience. He is progressing; he shows his strength to face this situation.”
