Report: Verratti Set to be Available for PSG’s Ligue 1 Fixture Against OGC Nice

Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Marco Verratti has not featured as of late for the Ligue 1 side due to a quad injury, but now, he is on the verge of making his return to in-game action.

As noted by L’Equipe, Verratti is set to make PSG’s squad list for its upcoming league fixture against OGC Nice.

The Italian midfielder recently made his return to training this week and after no setbacks regarding his injury, he is set to be available for PSG manager Mauricio Pochettino.

Verratti was surely missed in PSG’s UEFA Champions League away group stage fixture against Manchester City, as the Premier League side simply had its way in the middle of the park.

Verratti should be a welcome return to PSG’s midfield setup considering the notable injuries that it has faced as of late, which include Ander Herrera. The Spanish talent is not set to be available for the team’s remaining fixtures in the calendar year due to a hamstring injury.

Over the opening half of the season, Verratti has played in eight fixtures in all competitions.
