Report: Mino Raiola Discussed Xavi Simons With AC Milan

Xavi Simons has his contract expiring in June, and the 18-year-old has yet to commit to signing a new deal with Paris Saint-Germain. Playing time on the first team is causing the midfielder to hesitate and perhaps seek opportunity elsewhere.

According to Rudy Galetti of Sportitalia, one team expressing interest in the Netherlands international is AC Milan. The report states that Mino Raiola offered the youth players under his watch to Milan club chiefs Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara, with Simons’ name was mentioned in their conversations.

Perhaps this is a scare tactic on Raiola’s part to get a contract with PSG that guarantees significant playing time for Simons with the first team. The report revealed no further details regarding what was discussed as Riola also met with the Milan chiefs over another client in Alessio Romagnoli.

Plenty of supporters want to see PSG give their youth players some playing time over veterans that don’t have a future at the club. It will be interesting to see if these types of reports sway the minds of those at the capital club.
