Lionel Messi has had a fair share of ups and downs with Paris Saint-Germain as of late. While the Argentine forward has been sidelined for multiple matches due to injury, he has had a few key showings against the likes of Manchester City and RB Leipzig.

PSG manager Mauricio Pochettino has had a front-row seat to watch the Argentine both on the pitch and in training sessions with the team this season. And as expected, Pochettino is much impressed with both Messi’s growing adaption to the team and his work in training, which he spoke about to Ligue 1’s official website.

“He is very good, and he adapted very well,” Pochettino said. “He is very humble; he is very normal day by day. Being at the top player in the world. Yes, I think there is a very, very good dynamic on the training ground.”

As mentioned, Messi’s injury concerns have marred his campaign as of late. He missed PSG’s last two fixtures in all competitions due to a nagging hamstring injury.

Messi recently joined the Argentina national team for its upcoming 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifying fixtures. It will be noteworthy to see whether he goes on to feature for Argentina against Uruguay and Brazil.
