‘You Will Never Be Welcome’ – AC Milan Ultras Deploy a Banner Aimed at Gianluigi Donnarumma Ahead of Nations League Match

The departure of Gianluigi Donnarumma from AC Milan wasn’t pretty as both sides didn’t reach a contract extension; often, the 22-year-old had the nickname “Dollaruma” by fans of the Italian club for his financial demands.

Italy will be playing in Milan against Spain in the UEFA Nations League semi-finals. As a result, Donnarumma is playing in a city and stadium he knows well and isn’t welcomed by AC Milan supporters.

A few months have passed since departing on a free transfer in June and even helped Italy win the UEFA Euros this past summer. Despite all this, the PSG goalkeeper isn’t a welcomed player at San Siro as the Milan ultras deployed an insulting banner against Donnarumma.

The Milan ultras hung the banner in front of the Italian national team’s hotel, which read: “Donnarumma, you will never be welcome in Milan again. S— man.”

It will be interesting to see how he’s received Wednesday by the crowd at the San Siro and whether there will be any heckling of the PSG goalkeeper in the match.
